Colour Schemes

Colour scheme 1 - This is my preferred colour scheme choice. I have used black and white because they are both very contemporary colours and will also allow me to use my chosen colour on top of them as any colour will stand out on them because they are shades and not colours. They are also harsh and will stand out, especially black as it has connotations of darkness and so do rock stars which is the music genre I have chosen. I have chosen purple again because it is a harsh colour and quite vibrant and this is usually how rock artists dress with black but with a more vibrant colour on top, especially now as they are becoming more mainstream and current. I have chosen this shade, because unlike lilac it is more unisex as more men are comfortable with having colours that were before seen as feminine however I would not go as far as using pink as it still holds very feminine connotations.
Colour scheme 2 - This colour scheme also uses the colours black, white and purple. Again choosing black and white because they are contemparary and are unisex. On this colour scheme I have used a lighter purple that is lilac. Although I like this colour because it is not as harsh it does not work with the black and white. Also it is alot softer than the darker purple therefore has alot girlyer connotations as it is alot like pink. Also, because it is alot softer it does not match the connotations of the genre I am using of Rock as they are seen as quite loud and boistrous where as this colour does not match either of these connotations.
